June 2016 Edition.

SPRINGBOK CYBER NEWSLETTER

June 2016 edition

On Thursday 23rd June 2016 all British voters will have the opportunity to vote on the future of their country. They can vote either to remain entrapped in the artificial and retrograde European Union, or to regain their sovereign independence.

For those of us who were actively involved in the “No” campaign during the previous referendum of 1975 on what was then called the European Economic Community (colloquially known as the Common Market) this has been an unexpected dream come true. Everything which we predicted would come about if Britain was to remain in this alien grouping (something advocated both by the pseudo-Conservative traitor Edward Heath and by the scheming ultra-Socialist Harold Wilson) has come about, as anyone who had taken the trouble to read the Treaty of Rome would have realized. The EEC/EU wasn’t and never was intended to be a mere economic union. It was always intended to be a political project, whereby the belligerent aggressors from the two World Wars of the 20th century could achieve their goal of domination of the European continent by “peaceful” means after they had failed to achieve the same aim by armed invasions.

Let us look at the disasters which have befallen the British nation and people since their lunatic decision to remain in the EEC at the 1975 Referendum :-

• British manufacturing industry has been mainly either destroyed or taken-over by foreign interests
• The British fishing industry has been obliterated
• British agriculture has been emasculated and immersed in masses of bureaucratic red-tape
• The United Kingdom has been invaded by millions of ethnically and culturally alien migrants and their descendents, thus threatening our national identity
• Employment opportunities, housing, the NHS and other public services have been detrimentally effected by these migrants
• Crime has risen out of all proportion as a direct result of the general lawlessness of many sections of these migrants
• Our traditional friends and ethnic-brothers in the Commonwealth have been spurned and forced to seek other more unattractive trading partners
• The very union of the United Kingdom has been threatened by the EU’s regional policies and clandestine support for the SNP
• EU rules and regulations enacted by faceless bureaucrats now take precedence over UK laws
• Britain’s national defence is threatened by EU policies not in the interests of our own national security, and by the creation of an EU army
• The EU’s open-door policy towards the swarm of migrants invading from the Middle East and North Africa threatens our own borders
• …. and even after Margaret Thatcher’s rebate we still have to pay the EU £13 Billion per year for the privilege of enduring all of the above!

In view of all these catastrophically detrimental effects which have resulted from membership of the EU, it is difficult – almost impossible in fact – to understand why any British voter would want to remain in the EU – unless they have personal financial interests in the EU, or else are adherents to some egalitarian theology. Very charming people are these “Remainers” who put their own financial aggrandizement ahead of the well-being of their own nation and fellow-countrymen!

In spite of all the detrimental effects of membership of the EU and the erosion of national sovereignty, the British nation has however somehow managed to survive – far better than most of the other previously great European nation-states in fact. If there was one event that showed that the United Kingdom did still have sufficient self-confidence and ability to “go it alone” and to achieve greatness then it was through the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, which were universally acknowledged as probably the best organized Games ever, and which were arranged and conducted completely on a national basis. The pride and the confidence which the British people derived from the 2012 London Games not only showed that they had no need to be part of some EU entity in order to achieve success on the world stage, but furthermore set in motion a national renaissance which resulted directly in the forthcoming poll.

We therefore urge all of our readers resident in the UK not only to make sure that they vote “Leave” on 23rd June, but also to canvass and to persuade as many of their friends and contacts as possible to do likewise. Although opinion polls are showing an increasing lead for the “Leave” campaign, the result is by no means certain, as the “Remain” side have powerful EU financial resources behind them, and over-confidence could still prove to be a dangerous foe.

But we should not only be concentrating at the negative aspects of remaining in the EU. Our campaign should be primarily positive and optimistic for a future outside the EU. The motto of the Patriotic Forum (an umbrella grouping of patriotic organizations which both the Springbok Club and the Swinton Circle are part of) is “Out of Europe and into the World”. There is a golden future waiting for Britain out there once the country returns to its traditional vision of looking towards the Open Seas and its ethnic brothers and sisters in the Commonwealth around the globe. The days ahead will inspire us!

SPRINGBOK CLUB NEWS

The Springbok Club was most pleased to welcome its long-standing friend and supporter Bob Vinnicombe from Sydney in Australia as guest speaker earlier this month. Mr.Vinnicombe gave a most interesting and informative talk in which he gave details about the current Australian political situation (specifically in relation to the forthcoming Australian General Election), and also expressed his views about future Commonwealth liaison and solidarity, particularly in relation to the forthcoming EU Referendum in the UK and the victory earlier this year in New Zealand to retain its true national flag.

----------------------------

Later this month the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to a site of historical interest in London, which will be followed by an informal pub gathering at which it is hoped that two visiting supporters from other parts of the world (who will be returning to the UK mainly in order to vote “Leave” in the forthcoming EU Referendum) will say a few words about the situations in the respective parts of the world where they have been living. In July the Springbok Club will be holding its annual Rhodes and Founders Day celebration meeting, at which it is hoped that a supporter with close family connections to the late Hon. Ian Douglas Smith will be speaking, and during August the Kent Branch of the Springbok Club will be staging a trip to a site of historical importance in East Kent. Full details of all these events will be circulated to all members and supporters once they have been finalised, but for more information e-mail: springbk@netcomuk.co.uk

----------------------------

All supporters are also reminded that once again the Springbok Club has been specially invited to participate in the annual “Raising of the Flag” ceremony in Norfolk. This year this event will take place on Sunday 11th September, so it is hoped therefore that all friends and supporters will diarise this date, and will make a special effort to attend this most inspiring and enjoyable event. Overnight accommodation can always be arranged at Cromer, which is only a few miles away from where the event takes place.

SWINTON CIRCLE NEWS

The Swinton Circle will be staging a special meeting on Monday 27th June, at which the organization will be formally re-established, a revised Constitution adopted and a new Committee elected. The main purpose of this meeting, however, will be to hold an open discussion on the theme “The Future – Where do we go from here?” in the light of the EU Referendum result – no matter which way it goes! This debate will be to discuss and to decide upon future strategy and activities, not only for the re-launched Swinton Circle, but also for the patriotic movement as a whole. All supporters of the Swinton Circle will be notified of the precise details of this meeting in the very near future, but if anyone else would like to attend simply let the organisation know by e-mailing: swinton@netcomuk.co.uk

MESSAGE FROM THE “NETWORK FOR ANIMALS”

We have recently received the following important message from Mr.Brian Davies, the founder of the “Network for Animals” organisation :-

“David Cameron is expanding his evil badger cull this year. Not content with killing 3,916 innocent and lovable creatures already, his new cull is likely to triple the magnitude of their slaughter. I was born in Wales and I will speak out for the animals that can’t speak for themselves whatever the cost – I believe that it takes an evil man to approve of atrocities inflicted on defenceless animals.

“The badgers in nine counties are now at risk. Please contribute whatever you can afford to fuel this vital campaign.

“Your financial support is vital and it will help to ensure that brave and dedicated wounded badger patrollers in cull counties have the resources to enable them to find and care for wounded animals, train new recruits to fight for the badgers, and create a national information network to expose the wickedness of Cameron’s cull, a slaughter that that has no scientific support.

“We face a powerful opponent but we are more, much more than David Cameron, and we will prevail in the end.

“For the animals,

“Brian Davies, founder”

WE TOLD YOU SO!

On 24th April 2016 the “new” South African Sports Minister announced that the country’s sporting federations covering Rugby Union, Cricket, Athletics and Netball were to be banned from bidding to stage international tournaments because they allegedly did not create enough opportunities for Black players.

At the time of the 1992 South African Constitutional Referendum many leading sportsmen and women and officials openly advocated a “Yes” vote to national suicide because they claimed it would mean that South Africa would be able to return to international sport. We argued at the time that although South Africa might be able to return to the official international sporting arena for a few years, there would soon be no country to represent – certainly not as far as White sportsmen and women were concerned.

This latest pronouncement by the ANC regime simply confirms how accurate we were in our prediction all those years ago. We however will not be holding our breathe for an apology from all those idiots who rejected our advice at that time – those who were prepared to sacrifice their entire country and the future opportunities for their children and future generations just so they could enjoy a few short years of international sporting competition!

BOOK REVIEW

HOW LONG WILL SOUTH AFRICA SURVIVE? THE LOOMING CRISIS by R.W.JOHNSON (C.Hurst and Co, 2015)

reviewed by Mark Taylor

The author is a former ANC activist who once lectured to Jacon Zuma. I have no doubt that Zuma is personally the friendly and likable chap Johnson says he is and less that South Africa is now an USCWAP state – “Up Sh1t Creek Without A Paddle!”.

Back in 1977, Johnson wrote a book with the same title minus the last three words. He was already disillusioned with the ANC, having observed it in exile, but expected its military wing “Umkhonto we Sizwe” (MK) to become a serious threat before the old South Africa gave in after the 1980s. That was his mistake - if the old government's sole opposition had come from the MK they could have hung on forever. What brought them down was financial rather than trade sanctions -Botha tried to keep a lid on things from 1985 but de Klerk held that "we can't go on like this". Perhaps he gave too much but I don't believe he had any real choice. The old South Africa had no significant defenders left, no major Western leader or government not paying lip service to the sacred cow of "one man one vote".

We all know what's followed – South Africa had the 18th largest GDP in the world in 1977, the 33rd in 2013. Its exports have fallen by a fifth since 2005 alone. Whatever apartheid's failings - I never supported it - the state actually functioned. The economic growth was among the highest in the world. The bureaucracy, schools, public services, armed forces and police functioned with nothing like the corruption of today; no Nationalist PM would have dreamed of building himself a palace like Zuma's, or lasted if he had. Nor would they ever have failed to take action in the case of a drought. Zuma is now the chief thief of a kleptocracy which keeps taking from an ever-decreasing pot. The cure is in the people's hands - they can bite the bullet and elect a government in touch with economic reality in 2019. Rejecting it and turning to a maniac like Malema of the EFF would have consequences worse than even Zimbabwe.

Zuma was originally given high office by Madiba himself - Mandela's personal virtues were unfortunately counterbalanced by his being a lousy President. Mbeki tried to get rid of him - there were 600 charges against him - but failed. Johnson cites the famous 1940s dystopian novel, "When Smuts Goes", which ends with 21st century South Africa having broken down under a Zulu dictator. To quote an even more famous 1940s book: the “Beloved Country” has a lot to “Cry” about.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?

No.211 – Mnr. PIETER VAN ROOYEN of Pietermaritzburg

Pieter van Rooyen established the HNP structure in Pietermaritzburg during the mid-1980s – not a city which seemed particularly fertile ground for the party. Born in Pretoria but educated in Durban, Pieter van Rooyen was a very friendly and cultured man, and represented the HNP in the Pietermaritzburg South constituency during the 1987 General Election. It is believed that he left the HNP to join the CP of South Africa around 1990, but it would be interesting to learn what precisely did happen to him.

RECOMMENDED WEB-SITES OF THE MONTH

The Bermuda Historical Society’s Museum in Hamilton is an excellent institution containing fascinating exhibits and information about the colony’s history and development. Of particular interest to South Africans, however, is the extensive and superbly presented section about the Afrikaner prisoners-of-war who were detained on the island during the 2nd Anglo-Boer War. The museum itself is well worth a visit, but its web-site, although currently still under construction, is also worth checking out. It can be accessed at :-

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

ECONOMIC ARGUMENT

Sir,

'Refugees' in France have left the first safe country they arrived at and are seeking to move to a country with better benefits. They are therefore no longer refugees but economic migrants.

Yours etc.,

M.G.H., London, U.K.

----------------------------
.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Sir,

It seems as if you’ve had big problems from someone named Paul Griffin. I seem to recall that the leader or the extremist BNP political party is named Griffin – Nick or Nicholas Griffin I believe. I wonder if they are related?

Yours etc.,

J.Bell, London, U.K.

[ When Paul Griffin first made contact with us in early 2014 he went to great efforts to emphasise that he was no relation to the BNP leader. It puzzled us greatly at the time how he would know the name of the leader of such an obscure fringe party, but to be fair he may simply have spotted his name in a news report and it registered with him because it was the same name as his own. – Ed.]

OBITUARY

“JOCK” SPOONER

We regret to announce the death on April 4th, peacefully in an Adelaide hospital after a long illness, of veteran British patriot Richard James “Jock” Spooner.

Jock was born on March 29, 1943 in Norwich. When he was a baby the family moved to Glasgow. When they moved again to Birmingham when Jock was in his teens his Brummie schoolmates seized on the Scots brogue he had acquired (which he later lost) to dub him “Jock”, a name that stayed with him.

In the early 1970’s when running a taxi business in Birmingham Jock became increasingly concerned about the transformation being wreaked on many areas of his city by massive New Commonwealth Immigration. As a result he joined, and became active in, the National Front, rising in 1974 to the position of Chairman of the Party’s Birmingham Branch and Chairman also of the West Midlands Regional Council.

As a key figure in the West Midlands, Jock aligned himself with the democratic British-inspired wing of the National Front led by former Conservative candidate John Kingsley Read. When the extremist totalitarian faction within the Party led by former British Nazi party chief John Tyndall seized control at the end of 1975, Jock followed Kingsley Read and the other genuine British patriots into the National Party of the UK, which sadly though winning two Councillors in Blackburn in May 1976 proved short-lived.

Jock meanwhile had built a career working on the oil rigs, first in the North Sea and then off the coast of New Zealand. In the late 1970’s, prior to settling down in Australia, Jock toured South Africa and Rhodesia and was much impressed by the safe, civilized and prosperous way of life there. Not qualities overly evident in these areas today, alas!

In Australia Jock worked operating heavy machinery for New South Wales railways. He was also active in defending the interests of his fellow railway workers, to the extent that by the 1990’s he was serving as the Trades Union Representative on the NSW Rail Employment Appeals Tribunal, where he sat with an employer’s representative and a judge. Jock was also active with the lobbying group Australians Against Further Immigration.

After his retirement Jock travelled widely, indulging his interests in history, especially ancient and Roman history, visiting sites across Europe and the Middle East. In August 2006 he returned to the UK on a visit, when he attended a Springbok Club event and gave a short talk about the current Australian situation at an informal pub gathering afterwards. All who he met on this occasion were very impressed with the man, but alas this turned out to be his last trip to the UK as sadly he was afflicted by cancer shortly thereafter, which he battled bravely for many years.

Jock’s many friends in Britain and Australia will sadly miss this doughty fighter.
