May 2009 Edition.

May 2009 edition

The ANC's re-election paving the way for Jacob "Bring me my Machine Gun" Zuma to become president of the "new" South Africa would seem to herald yet another dark chapter in the beleaguered country's history, and a return to the horrors of the Mandela era.

We must we honest and admit that much to our surprise Thabo Mbeki's term in office proved a relative - and we repeat, relative - period of stability for the "new" South Africa. To be sure, the rampant crime rate and the genocide campaign against the White farming and urban communities were not eradicated - but they did not intensify either. Even more surprisingly, there was clearly a period of economic growth in the country, with the beginnings of overseas investment returning. Probably the biggest achievement of Mbeki's administration was the fact that the 2010 Soccer World Cup still remains scheduled for South Africa, with the building of most of the stadiums and the necessary transport infrastructure nearing completion - much to the astonishment of most seasoned observers who forecast only chaos at the time that FIFA awarded the competition to the country.

The fact of the matter is that, particularly towards the end of his period in power, Mbeki realised that anti-White paranoia and the Marxist theories of the SACP were leading nowhere, so therefore embraced the free market capitalist system. This of course was the reason why the ANC/SACP hierarchy decided that he simply had to go. It was of course most significant in this regard to note that both Mandela himself and his crazed ex-wife were present giving their full support at Zuma's final election rally in Johannesburg.

Channel 4's recent docu-drama "Endgame" gave many significant clues regarding the treason, sell-out and surrender which led to the imposition of ANC terrorist rule over South Africa. It was interesting in this regard to note that although Willie Esterhuyse and the rest of the Afrikaner intellectual traitors, and the "useful idiot" Michael Young of Consolidated Gold Fields (and how true was the remark that Consolidated's founder, Cecil John Rhodes, would be turning in his grave at Young's appeasement!) were prepared to negotiate with the Mbeki wing of the ANC, the sell-out NP government of PW Botha, through cabinet minister Cobie Coetzee and NIS-chief Neil Barnard, were at the same time talking to the convicted terrorist Mandela whilst he was still in prison! It was clearly a case of surrendering to the GREATEST of two evils. Surely the warnings of both the HNP and the Conservative Party of South Africa throughout the 1980s have now been fully vindicated. The greatest enemy was from within in the form of the NP establishment, and not without in the form of the ineffective ANC terrorists.

But there is no point dwelling upon the past. The fact of the matter is that Zuma's incoming administration almost certainly heralds a resumption of anti-White hatred. We repeat what we said at the time of the coming to power of the unreconstructed terrorist Mandela therefore, and that is that all Whites should endeavour to leave the country as soon as they can and by whichever means they can, for to remain under the likes Zuma could well be tantamount to signing your own death certificate. The sooner the country collapses completely the better, for only once the Western World is forced to intervene will there be any hope for the re-establishment of civilised values to the benefit of all.

The Springbok Club held a most successful and well-attended event last month in order to celebrate Van Riebeeck's Day, at which the guest speaker was Mnr. Albertus Kleingeld of the PRAAG ("Pro-Afrikaans Action Group") organisation. Mnr. Kleingeld gave a most well-received address in which he told something about the foundation of PRAAG and its aims and objectives in defending the Afrikaans culture and identity. He emphasised, however, that advocating Afrikaner freedom and self-determination did not imply any antagonism towards the group-rights of others in South Africa. It is anticipated that as a result of this meeting links between the two organisations will increase and strengthen.

The Springbok Club/ELC will be holding a special day's events in order to celebrate Empire Day on Saturday 16th May. This will take the form of a trip to the Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham where a special "Soldiers of the Queen" spectacular will be held over the weekend (featuring a display by our friends from "The Diehards" Victorian era military re-enactment society), followed by a get-together and dinner at near-by hostelries, where short keynote addresses will be made to mark Empire Day. Details are as follows :-

Date  :   Saturday 16th May 2009

Venue :   The Royal Engineers Museum, Prince Arthur Road, Old Brompton, Gillingham, Kent, ME4 4UG (nearest railway station: Gillingham, 15 minutes walk away - or Chatham, a short bus journey away).

Rendezvous arrangements :  Meet in the foyer of the museum between 12.00 noon and 12.30 hrs, or meet-up with the rest of the party anytime thereafter during the afternoon. (The museum charges will be £6.99 for adults, and £4.66 for concessions).

For more information, or to book a place at the celebration dinner during the evening, please 'phone: 07711188430.

In July the Springbok Club will be staging their annual Rhodes & Founders celebrations, at which a prominent ex-Rhodesian will be guest of honour. Further details will be given in future editions of the SCN.

In August it is hoped to stage a joint meeting with the Swinton Circle at which a prominent Ulster historian will be guest speaker.

The Chilterns Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC will be staging a re-establishment function at Hatfield towards the end of June. Further details will be given in next month's SCN.

The meeting to re-constitute the Northern Ireland Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC (probably to be re-named the Belfast Branch) has now been re-scheduled until August, for the convenience of all concerned, and will take place in central Belfast.

The London Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC is planning to hold a get-together in September, when a leading expert will be giving an informal talk about Anglo-Saxon archaeology.

The Kent Branch of the Springbok Club/ELC is planning a social get-together in the autumn at which a former Rhodesian Air Force member will be giving an informal talk about his experiences in the RhAF.

For more details about all these events please e-mail: or 'phone 07711188430.

The planned Swinton Circle meeting at which Mr. Paul Madzore, the MDC MP from Zimbabwe, was due to be guest speaker has unfortunately had to be cancelled because of Mr. Madzore's tight schedule in the UK. A braai in the honour of Mr. Madzore will be held in Casteford, Yorkshire, during the afternoon of Saturday 23rd May however, to which members of the Swinton Circle have been specifically invited. Please e-mail: for more details.

The Swinton Circle is planning to stage a most interesting meeting to be addressed by a prominent member of the House of Lords in the near future, hopefully in June. More precise details will be given in next month's edition of the SCN.

In last month's SCN we exposed a report from "The Guardian" of July 5th 1986 which revealed how Mr. Allan Robertson (the erstwhile Organiser of the London Swinton Circle, who was subsequently expelled from the organisation) had recommended "liaison" with the neo-fascist BNP whilst Chairman of the Scottish Monday Club during the mid-1980s. Now a supporter has sent us some even more damning evidence of Mr. Robertson's double-dealings from a far more recent date. This has been in the form of a photograph positively identified as being taken on February 29th 2008, clearly showing him in attendance at a dinner staged by the so-called "Conservative Democratic Alliance" (CDA) and listening to a speech being given by a certain Mr. Sam Swerling. About four years ago the now defunct CDA placed a statement on their web-site discussion forum stating that their aim was to "smash" both the Swinton Circle and the Springbok Club, so quite clearly support for this organisation would be incompatible with membership of the Swinton Circle. Furthermore Mr. Swerling, a former member of the Swinton Circle, openly admitted his membership of the BNP (something confirmed by his name appearing on the leaked BNP membership list) which led to him being debarred from attending Swinton Circle meetings. Mr. Robertson of course never told any other active Committee Members of the Swinton Circle about his attendance of this dinner staged by enemies of the organisation, and needless to say he would probably have been suspended from the Swinton Circle earlier had his double-dealings been known at the time. A picture, as they say, is worth a thousand words.

We have recently heard on the grapevine that Mr. Dennis Delderfield, the National Chairman of New Britain, has been taken rather poorly - something which seems to be confirmed by the fact that he hasn't been contactable over the 'phone of late, and the New Britain web-site apparently has not been updated so far this year. Mr. Delderfield is of course a great and long-standing friend and supporter of our movement, and a man who we admire greatly, so we send him our sincerest best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

As far as we are aware, however, New Britain's 3rd annual Goldsmith Lecture is still scheduled to take place. The lecture this year will be given by Mr. Simon Heffer, Associate Editor of The Daily Telegraph, on Thursday 10th September from 19.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs at the Wilkins Gustav Tuck Lecture Theatre, University College London, Gower Street, London WC1. The Chairman of the lecture will be Sir Teddy Taylor, and it is hoped that Mr. Delderfield will also be able to speak on the same subject - "The State of the Nation". Tickets are priced at £5.00 and can be obtained from: New Britain, 10 College East, Gunthorpe Street, Tower Hamlets, London E1 7RL.

We have recently received the following most encouraging report from Earle Bingley in Canada :-

"Yesterday, thousands of baby grey seals on Hay Island were spared a brutal death by sealers due to a lack of demand for their skins. When seal processing plants told seal hunters that they could not find buyers for the pelts of the baby grey seals, the sealers stayed home.

"Rebecca Aldworth and the ProtectSeals team, on hand to document the cruel killing, instead filmed the peaceful mothers and pups resting on the beach. 'A miracle happened, and what would have been one of the worst days of my life became one of the best: instead of bearing witness to sealers beating defenceless seal pups to death with wooden bats, we stood on Hay Island to celebrate life with the seals,' said Aldworth, director of HSI Canada.

"'As we walked on to the island, so peaceful in absence of the seal hunters, I was struck by the beauty of the place,' Aldworth continued. 'All around us, protective mothers nursed their babies. The sweet pups looked up at us trustingly-they have no reason to fear people, because they do not know what happened here last year.'

"The fact that buyers are unwilling to purchase grey seal pelts this year proves that global markets for seal products are evaporating. With a pending ban on seal product trade in the European Union, the writing is on the wall-this is the beginning of the end of the commercial seal slaughter.

"'By simply considering a seal product trade ban, the EU has already had a major impact on markets for seal products, and has saved thousands of seals from being clubbed to death,' said Mark Glover, director of HSI UK. 'It is essential that the EU enact a full and unconditional ban on the trade in seal products to help end Canada's inhumane and unnecessary seal slaughter.'

"The moment of peace Aldworth experienced is fleeting. In just a few weeks' time, the true target of the world's largest slaughter of marine mammals - the harp seals - will be killed by the hundreds of thousands in horrible ways.

"But, just as with the grey seals, there is hope for the harp seals. If the European Union stays its course and passes an unconditional ban on seal product trade, baby harp seals could be spared, too.

"'There is so much at stake-the lives of millions of seals hang in the balance,' said Aldworth. She recalled, 'As I looked into the eyes of the grey seal pups, I was struck by the fact that they all would have been dead were it not for the actions of compassionate nations,' adding, 'Harp seals, too, deserve to live out their lives in peace.'

"HSI Canada will be monitoring the grey seal situation closely and will be on hand to document if conditions change and the slaughter does proceed. Meanwhile, we are renewing our call for the Canadian government to compensate affected workers by buying out sealing licenses, and to develop alternative economies for coastal communities. It is time for this needless killing to end."

Many readers will either know, or have heard of Gayle Hoenig. She is a wonderful lady who has unselfishly dedicated her life to the welfare and rescue of animals in her native state of Colorado, though her interest in animal welfare spans the globe.

Sadly we have recently received a most distressing e-mail from Steve Gassaway of Rescue Without Borders in which he informed us that Gayle had has a stroke about 5 weeks ago and had to be flown by helicopter to a hospital in Colorado Springs, USA, where she had a tracheotomy and was put on a respirator. She has now been taken off life-support and is able to breathe on her own again, but she is unable to move or communicate apart from slight hand movements.

Steve is thinking of setting up a trust fund for Gayle and her family through Rescue Without Borders. If anybody would like to donate or just send a message to Gayle, please email Steve on:

All major Argentine newspapers and web-sites recently carried the story of Prince William's posting as a pilot to the Falklands. The newspaper Clarin stated that it was difficult to believe that British diplomats would not have weighed up the political significance of this, and draws the conclusion that it is a mark of Britain's determination over the Falklands.

We have recently received the following most interesting and revealing media statement from the Transvaal Agricultural Union :-

"TAU SA is taking note of the preliminary results of the Agriculture Census 2007. Based on results announced on 17 February 2009, a definite decrease totalling 17,998 of farming units since 1993. It should therefore be concluded that land in production decreased to the same extent. This places a serious burden on the shoulders of farmers utilizing their land productively.

"According to the president of TAU SA, Mr Ben Marais, agricultural land, which is already a scarce commodity in South Africa, is becoming even scarcer. This can be ascribed to:

1          The fact that agricultural land is increasing claimed by communities resulting in the land being utilized for other purposes.
2          The occurrence of farm murders resulting in time consuming estate procedures having a negative impact on continued productivity.
3          Increasing crime, especially theft, forcing farmers to consider alternative agricultural activities.
4          Rising input costs which has a very negative effect on marginal farming practices.

"Mr Marais emphasized that the production of sufficient and affordable food complying with acceptable standards is becoming increasingly important. Against the background of the global economic crisis and subsequent losses of employment, the results in South Africa will be crushing should optimal use of available agricultural land is not assured. It is in the interest of this country's citizens that the authorities should activate action plans to ensure that South Africa will be able to produce sufficient food for domestic purposes as well as for export to neighbouring states where famine is rapidly becoming a reality."

Peter Jefferson-Green - universally known as "Pinetown Pete" - was born and raised in the east end of London, but emigrated to South Africa during the 1970s, settling in Pinetown, Natal. He played in goal for the Durban Collegians soccer team, and it was here where he obtained his nickname. In the early 1980s he married a South African girl named Dawn - "The beautiful new Dawn" as she was known - but alas the marriage did not last. With the approaching fall of civilised rule in South Africa "Pinetown Pete" confided that he was planning to re-emigrate to Canada, though it is not certain whether this ever came about. It would therefore be interesting to learn where he is now.

The Pioneer Club, who organise the famous Rhodesian July braai weekends (de facto celebrations for Rhodes & Founders Day), have now initiated their own most interesting web-site. This is well worth a visit, particularly for those who might be thinking about joining the club and attending their 2009 July braai weekend. It can be accessed at :-

I have been working as CEO in a one-man company. We have 30 staff members. The company showed strong growth under my management, quality of products has improved, and delivery time reduced by 60%

I receive regular compliments from customers and suppliers regarding the company’s efficiency. I have many years’ knowledge and experience in my field, and I had planned on working here until my retirement.

Now the owner of the company is in the process of selling the business to 'previously disadvantaged' for a few million Rand. Buyers are borrowing money from the government – tax-money that I also helped to pay, and what is now being used against me.

My concern is that I am also going to be paid off so that a 'previously disadvantaged' can be appointed in my place, regardless of whether he has the same knowledge and skills that I have.

What also worries me is that the owner is only seeing the money that he is receiving from the transaction, and is not really concerned whether provision has really been made for those of us who helped build the company, and whether we would find work afterwards.

My CV has also been sent out far and wide, but because of 'Affirmative Action' I cannot find another job. AA – and not capitalism - renders the playing field very uneven. I voted for democracy in 1994, the end of apartheid and equal rights. However, now this counts against White men. What does the government want from us? To be without jobs?

They deny my citizenship, knowledge, experience and contributions to the economy. The only reason why they tolerate us is for our tax contributions that they faithfully receive every month.

Yours etc.,

"Old White", Verwoerdburg, Transvaal

[Did you not realise the INEVITABLE consequences of voting "for democracy (sic) in 1994, the end of apartheid and equal rights (sic)"? - Ed.]

In the 'Rogues Gallery' column of last month's SCN we reported about how we had been sent a copy of a most strange and bizarre letter written by someone named Phil Andrews who we had never heard of previously, but that we had no idea whatsoever why this should have been sent to us.

Since then we have been sent another most mystifying document from the same source, and again without any form of explanation whatsoever. This document, which is four pages long, seems to have been photocopied from a larger publication, though it gives no indication of either the title or the date of the original. The text is written in the first-person, and seems to be an explanation as to why the writer had resigned from the National Front (a far-right British political party which we have no connection with).

Rather disturbingly several names which we recognise appear in this document, though in at least one case we know that an allegation made is completely untrue. Other aspects in the article seem to have more than a ring of truth about them however, and could give a clue as to why this item was sent to us. In this regard the following paragraph is perhaps very significant :-

"Shortly afterwards Joe [believed to be a Joe Pearce, a former subscriber to 'S.A.Patriot', but who we know very little about] was sent to prison again. He was a great inspiration for us all. Whilst his co-defendant, Ian Anderson, squirmed and wriggled in the witness box, Joe said he was going to prison proud of his beliefs and knowing that for the first time in its history the NF (National Front) knew where it was going and was preparing a new generation of leaders and policies for the 1990s. They were telling us that by the mid 1990s a combination of mass unemployment, a more repressive state and the running out of North Sea oil would lead to a situation where we could put into action the thousands of cadres we would have trained by then, to lead a dispossessed generation to power. This would be going on not just in Britain but also in America, Scandinavia and the rest of Western Europe. To do this we would not only have to be politically trained but would also have to form alliances with all sorts of other groups that wanted to topple whoever was in power, Labour or the Conservatives."

Apart from the most unsettling nature of this paragraph, and the fact that the prediction most certainly - thank goodness - did not come about during the 1990s, the most significant aspect seems to be the mention of the name Ian Anderson. Could this be the same Ian Anderson who - although never a member - started attending Swinton Circle meetings a few years ago we wonder? This Ian Anderson would market copies of a broadsheet which he published called "The Flag" (no connection to the periodical of the same name published by the Flame Lily Foundation in South Africa we hasten to add) without permission at Swinton Circle meetings, and its apparent extremist nature led to at least one Swinton Circle member resigning from the organisation. As a result of this a sidekick of this Ian Anderson - who was a member and always brought him along to meetings - was debarred from the organisation, though they both turned up again, uninvited and unwelcome, at the disrupted meeting of July 22nd 2008. A strong clue that this is one and the same Ian Anderson is the fact that later during the document it is stated that the NF's party paper at the time was known as "The Flag"! Even more disturbing is the fact that the article also states that Ian Anderson was in contact with a certain Nick Griffin at the time - who is believed to be the same Nick Griffin who is currently leader of the neo-fascist BNP.

The revelations from this document, when coupled to the latest exposé about Mr. Allan Robertson's sinister connections detailed above, therefore paints a very disturbing picture. Could it be that both Messrs. Anderson and Robertson are members of the alleged "thousands of cadres we would have trained" mentioned in the article, who it was claimed would "form alliances with all sorts of other groups" in order to "topple whoever was in power", and that the Swinton Circle was one of the "groups" which they had in mind and wished to infiltrate? One thing is for certain however, and that is that we want to have no further dealings with either Messrs. Anderson or Robertson!
